With more than 30 years of hands-on equipment experience, our team helps customers buy, rent, repair and maintain the machines they rely on every day. What began with one refurbished telehandler has grown into a nationwide equipment business built around practical knowledge, responsive service and long-term customer relationships. Today, MJ Equipment serves contractors, equipment owners and businesses with heavy equipment sales, local rentals and repair services, replacement parts and technical guidance.

Our Story Built on Experience, Rooted in Family
In 1983, Mike Deppiesse began working for OmniQuip, the original manufacturer of SkyTrak telehandlers. Over the next 11 years, he gained hands-on experience throughout nearly every stage of production. His work included welding, assembly and installing engines, transmissions, axles and other major components.
Mike also worked in the paint department, painting traditional orange SkyTrak machines along with military models. His final role at OmniQuip placed him at the last checkpoint before completed machines left the factory. He diagnosed problems, completed necessary repairs and helped prepare equipment for its first job.
Those years gave Mike an in-depth understanding of how SkyTrak equipment was built, how its systems worked together and what it took to keep the machines operating in the field. This experience became the foundation for MJ Equipment.
From One Refurbished Machine to a Nationwide Equipment Business
In 1997, Mike purchased his first machine, refurbished it and sold it to his first customer. From there, the business began growing through word of mouth. Masons, contractors and other Wisconsin equipment users recognized the versatility of telehandlers, increasing demand for machines, parts and experienced support.
Over time, MJ Equipment expanded beyond equipment sales to become a resource for replacement parts, service, rentals and equipment expertise. The company also developed a strong reputation among JLG and SkyTrak equipment customers well beyond Wisconsin. Today, MJ Equipment serves customers nationwide while continuing to operate from Cedar Grove.
A Family Legacy Continues
After decades of building MJ Equipment, Mike retired in 2025 and passed ownership to his daughter, Carina, and son-in-law, Daniel Mueller. Today, Carina and Daniel continue the family-owned business with the same emphasis on equipment knowledge, dependable service and customer relationships established from the beginning.
MJ Equipment continues to expand its equipment and parts offerings, but the company's foundation remains rooted in firsthand experience and personal service. Customers can work with people who understand the equipment, the problems owners encounter and the importance of finding the right solution without unnecessary delays.

MJ Equipment provides construction equipment rentals and repair services within approximately 100 miles of our Cedar Grove facility, helping contractors across southeastern and east-central Wisconsin keep projects moving. For customers outside our local service area, we ship replacement parts nationwide and sell equipment to customers across the country. Many in-stock parts can ship quickly, helping equipment owners reduce downtime and get machines back to work.
